Oxford Networks will begin offering DIRECTV service to its existing customers in Lewiston and Auburn starting October 6th, 2009. We will begin to transition away from our current cable television product at the same time. Over the years, our customers have asked for enhancements to our cable television service. We have been unable to meet those requests, and feel that it is in the best interest of our customers to offer a different, more advanced product set. We are committed to offering the best products possible and feel that DIRECTV will provide just that.
Our relationship with DIRECTV will enable us to offer expanded programming, including High Definition, DVR, NFL SUNDAY TICKET, and NASCAR HotPass along with hundreds of other channels and advanced services. We will be offering communication packages that make it easy for our customers to order the services that they really want and need.
We have gone to great lengths to make this transition from our cable television service to DIRECTV as seamless as possible and to ensure that our customers continue to receive great customer service from Oxford Networks. Our representatives are ready to help with that transition now through January 29, 2010.
We are excited about our relationship with DIRECTV. We look forward to working with our customers to offer this great new product.

How have your customers felt about the news?
Prior to making our decision to offer DIRECTV, we spoke with several customers to gauge their reaction. Their reaction was overwhelmingly positive. Our customers enjoy working with a local, caring company who puts their best interests first. Many have thanked us for enhancing their service. |

When you moved to Lewiston/Auburn in 2004, you were very optimistic about this product offering. What happened?
We were very early into the IPTV market. At the time, we were one of only a few dozen providers deploying the technology in the country. The number of nationwide deployments has since grown, but not astronomically. IPTV offers a great deal of benefits. Over time, we believe it will likely be the technology of choice for cable TV distribution. Unfortunately, its shortcomings were to numerous for us to continue to employ it. |

As a public utility company, do you have any requirements to continue offering this product?
No. We do have a franchise agreement with Lewiston and Auburn. Within that agreement we established that we would offer services as available. |

 |
You made a commitment to expand your network throughout the twin cities. Why haven’t you lived up to that commitment?
Our original vision was to build fiber optic network throughout Lewiston/Auburn. The commitment made to the cities was simply that we would expand as it made good business sense. Unfortunately, it does not make good business sense for us to expand at this time. |
